📸Coaching Spotlight Saturday: Meet Coach Elise! Elise is a native New Yorker and started CrossFit in 2012 when she was in high school, where she played field hockey and softball. She continued CrossFit in college and used to run 1.5 miles to and from the gym each day because she did not have a car her freshman year at the University of South Carolina. She is newly married to her soulmate and best friend, Nick, and is a dog mom to their puppy Maverick.
Elise started coaching in 2015 and still has a passion for making people stronger, healthier, and providing members with the best hour of their day. Elise is a full-time detective for the Richland County Sheriff's Department, and a local ✨celebrity✨ as you may recognize her from the #2 ranking @netflix show “Missing: Dead or Alive.” Her favorite movement is the butterfly pull-up, and her favorite style of CrossFit workout is a chipper. Fun fact: Chuck Carswell taught Elise’s CF Level 1 course in Atlanta! Our members love having Elise as their coach and we are so grateful to have her on our team! Ask Coach Elise, in the comments, how she feels about pairing squat cleans and bar-facing burpees. #coach #crossfit #sodacity #lawenforcement #leo #richlandcounty #columbiasc
